We are looking for a Young Entrepreneur for the Erasmus program to work and learn on our textiles business where we take waste fabrics, remake into usable goods and resell.
We are an NGO and our work benefits the communities we live in and although a small company we are expanding fast. The time spent with us would be up to 6 months and the time agreed before arrival. Could be 3 – 6 months depending on requirements. The person – The Young Entrepreneur, is paid via Erasmus to take part in the program and this will vary between countries and for the uk you would receive around 1000 per month salary. From this you would need to support yourself while you stay here. It would need to cover your accommodation, travel and food expenses. We would help you find accommodation here that would be affordable and suitable for your needs. The program would require commitment but would also give suitable time off from working. You would average 4 days a week? Sometimes more depending on the situation and with the chance to earn more money for doing so. You would also have a mentor of sorts to learn the aspects of the business. The place of work is easy, we try to make it fun and its not so serious. We work with Textiles and Fabric to create products to sell. We are a NGO and our profits go back to the benefit the community. Our facebook page is here https://www.facebook.com/texwithadifference/ And our website is here https://texwithbenefits.com/ What we would prefer from someone • Good understanding of English • Want to be involved in developing a business on their return • Stay for a placement of between 3-6 months • Help with the business expansion • Help to develop Erasmus courses for future collaborative projects Desired • Interest in fashion, textiles or waste management • Able to sew or use a sewing machine • Prepared and able to support the development of sales • Skills that will support our marketing • Interest in discovering the opportunities for exporting and building European sales. • Preparation for EVS. The area we are based is in Cornwall and the town is Par. Our address is Cornubia Hall, 31 Eastcliffe Road, Par PL24 2AQ If you google it then it will show that we are around 300m from the beach in a small sea side town. There is no real big city in our region but it is busy with tourist and many things to do. You would have time off to explore and go to cities in other regions if you wanted. It is safe here and the people are kind.
